EARLY VOTING BEGINS APRIL 22. ELECTION DAY IS MAY 4.

The Issues at Hand

I decided to run for City Council after experiencing firsthand the changes our local government habitually makes without fully involving those who might be affected by their decisions. Shouldn't we be able to voice a valued opinion before the final decision is marketed to us? We need council members who want clearer and easier ways to communicate with the citizens they serve; who welcome cameras into meetings concerning all public information and provide easier electronic access to supporting documents, not just agendas; who desire greater civic involvement and insight on how local government should work for every resident; who welcome term limits and having voting records displayed. We need council members who are focused on our families and maintaining the quality of life in Allen!

ENHANCED COMMUNICATION AND TRANSPARENCY

Why Is It So Hard To Be Heard?

  • Collective Council Contact Form with Read-Receipt

  • Faster Response Time: within 48-72 hours

  • Real-Time Social Media

  • Easier City Website Navigation

  • Accurate and Updated Info

Accountability = Transparency

  • Broader access via video

  • Supplemental documentation available for EVERY meeting

  • Term Limits

  • Voting records of council members clearly displayed

AFFORDABILITY IN ALLEN

Shouldn't Allen Be Affordable?

  • Advocate for police and fire departments by proposing to improve salaries to first responders which would allow them to afford living inside the city they serve

  • Work to pass ordinances which will allow for smaller footprint housing

  • Work to pass ordinances which will protect our older neighborhoods from being overdeveloped and their residents from being priced out

  • Address senior residents' needs with a city tax freeze

  • How do we manage growth in Allen moving forward in a way which benefits our quality of life, not just the bottom line?

FAMILY FOCUS

Diverse Families, Distinct Needs

  • Ensure quality of life for all

  • Faster implementation of large shade structures at parks

  • Bathrooms for more of our phenomenal parks

  • Gated playgrounds for extra safety

  • Mobile library for all ages

  • Champion best practices for Allen families by notifying residents and HOAs affected by new developments beyond the state law of 200 feet via email or regular mail so citizens can rally their voice
